As christimas wait to celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ,
Christians across Teso Region have been
discouraged from drinking alcohol but should instead
prefer taking non-alcoholic drinks.
The chairperson of the Christians of St. Agnes Catholic
Church Atapar in Kapir, Ngora district Maximillian
Kolive Aceat says, alcoholism leads to evil behaviors.
According to Acaet, the book of Galatians 5:19-21 says
that the act of the sinful nature is drunkenness quoting
Ephesians 5:18 which says do not get drunk on wine,
which leads to dishonesty.
Acaet further cautions the Christians to desist from sin
and repent to God as they wait to celebrate the birth of
Jesus Christ.
