Residents in Katakwi district have been tasked to prioritize reducing on their family expenditure in a bid to save money for education in February.
Geoffrey Omolo, the district chairperson Katakwi says that many time households have fallen victims of lack of school fees due to unplanned prioritizes and unnecessary spending in the family.
Omolo notes with concern that it’s now the high time for parents to start planning for the available resources at home in order to cater for future use like education, medication and food among others but not in unproductive activities.
He therefore calls for unity between married people in Teso to always involve children in their family planning thus avoiding conflicts.
