Traders in Soroti city are tasked to follow the guidelines set by the Soroti city main market administration in terms of garbage management.
Benjamin Ocharo, the deputy chairperson of Soroti city main market says that most of the traders from Mbale are the main contributors of garbage in the city due to the kind of goods they deal with like matooke, cabbage among others.
He explains that as a market administration, they have directed all the vendors to always take their garbage skips in order to enable the truck to collect them in time.
He however, calls for cooperation between the vendors and the market leadership to curb the increasing concerns from the public on garbage management.
