NRM chairpersons in serere district have disagreed with the NRM national leadership to support the flag bearer.
Julius Etelu Otai, the NRM chairperson Serere town council in serere district says that as the chairpersons in the district, they are not ready to support the flag bearer Philip Oucor due to allegation that he refused to cooperate with the party structures and created differences among the leaders.
Meanwhile some of the NRM chairpersons who spoke to this radio expressed their grievances saying that the NRM party primary election was not free and fair adding that the flag was given to a wrong person.
However, Rose Mary Seninde Nansubuga the director National mobilizer NRM says that the law of the party allows the flag bearer to hold the flag for 5 years.
Emmanuel Dombo the spokesperson NRM acknowledged the fact that the party always support flag bearers not independent candidates.
