Parents in katakwi district have been asked to work together with learners who got pregnant while at school in order to enable them complete their education.
Emmanuel Elungat, the diocesan youth leader of Soroti Catholic Diocese says that many parents have always ignored the education of such learners with a thinking that they will not manage to concentrate in class.
He notes with concern that its parents who have at times denied their children chances to proper with education due to the resources spent on such children especially girls.
He now encourages parents to send their children to school early once the terms opens in February in order to catch up with the syllabus.
