Youth in Aukot Sub County, Soroti district challenged to make best use of technical skills

Youth in Aukot Sub County in soroti district have been challenged to make the best use of their technical skills acquired at school in order to enhance the livelihood.

Paul Omer, the mayor soroti east says that many people have always sat on their skills they acquired at school with a mind that finding a job is difficult.

Omer who was representing the district MP Hon. Ann Adeke Enaju stated this during the function organized by Adeke foundation skills training center in Aukot sub county Soroti district where a total of 38 youth were a worded with the certificates in various skills courses like hair dressing, bricklaying and concrete practice, carpentry and joinery, and tailoring.

According to some of the beneficiaries who spoke to this radio acknowledged that the skills center was establish last year by the Soroti district woman MP Ann Adeke Ebaju across Gweri County in order to help those who dropped out of school due to different financial challenges.

However, the beneficiaries expressed their happiness saying the skills attained will help them to improve on the standard of living in their families.

Meanwhile Joseph Auta the LC1 chairperson of Aukot thanked Hon. Adeke for the initiative and further asked parents and stakeholders to come in support the technical education.
