The district Woman Member of Parliament for Bukedea district who is also the Speaker of Parliament of Uganda Rt. Hon. Annet Anita Among has today Thursday Feb 2nd, 2022 rewarded the best PLE performers 2022 in Bukedea district.
The occasion was graced by professor Jonas Gumisiriza.

A total of 198 pupils in Bukedea district were rewarded with mattresses and 100,000 shilling from the
Hajj Imran Muluga the RDC for Bukedea district who was the chief guest said that out of 6,191 candidates who sat for primary leaving Examination in the year 2022, 198 managed to get first grade in the district saying that, his office is ready to monitor schools this time around to see that the performances is going to be high
Stephen Okurut the District Education Officer for Bukedea district said that the performance for this year is good compared to the year 2020 where the district registered only 130 in first grade but this time around 198 pupils.
Okurut added that although the district registered 2,112 pupils in second grade, 1,666 in third grade, 1,038 in fourth grade, 1,120 in division U and 57 division X.
However, some of the pupils who spoke with Mama Bukedea Radio said that the mattresses and 100,000 shilling they have got from the office of the speaker will help them start up
