The Katakwi district authorities have asked parents to send all learners who did not report this week to school as week one of term one studies is open
Patrick Olila, the Katakwi Chief Administrative Officer cautioned parents in Katakwi district against staying back with their children at home
He says due to the continuing government effort to extend schools next to communities people should take advantage of educating their children when access to studies is available unlike long ago where difficult schools were far to distanceof the region
He cautioned that parents who may be tempted to keep their children at home such parents and children should be rounded off since they are wasting UPE funds meant for them.
According to Olila, parents should value education and send their children to school right from day one so that their performance is not affected as history tells Iteso as wise people.
