Katakwi residents to Face charge of Shs 50,000 if found dumping rubbish

The residents of Katakwi district will soon be faced with a bi-law which will deal with people who are dumping rubbish in the town council of Katakwi


The Bi-law which is in the pipeline of being enacted and approved by the Katakwi town council will handicap any member of the community who will be found littering the waste or rubbish along the corridors, streets and those mismanaging the damping areas and they will be fined over shillings 50,000


The health inspector Katakwi town council, Magdalene Aujo has disclosed that the law which is pending approval by council tackles people who litter waste in the town and it will help maintain town clean hence observance of hygiene and sanitation
